SIH Project Presentation to CCRAS Officials – Demo Day On 08-09-2025

As part of Demo Day activities on 18/09/2025, the students of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre presented their Smart India Hackathon (SIH) projects to the officials from the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS).

The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas, research-based solutions, and prototypes aligned with the vision of integrating Ayurveda with modern technological advancements.

The interactive session with CCRAS officials offered valuable feedback and guidance, further motivating the students to refine their projects for impactful outcomes.

Ayurveda Day 2025 Celebration – Student Visit from Sri Sairam Institutions On 12-09-2025

As part of the Ayurveda Day 2025 Celebration, our college proudly hosted students from Sri Sairam Matriculation School and Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College on 12th September 2025.

The visiting students were given an insightful introduction to the principles and practices of Ayurveda, including traditional treatment methods, herbal formulations, and holistic wellness approaches. Interactive sessions and campus tours were conducted by our faculty, providing a hands-on learning experience that highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda in modern-day healthcare.

This event served as a platform to foster awareness, knowledge-sharing, and appreciation of India’s rich heritage in traditional medicine among the younger generation.

We sincerely thank the students and faculty of Sri Sairam Institutions for their enthusiastic participation and look forward to continued collaboration in the future.

Herbal Garden Visit – Ayurveda Day 2025 On 12-09-2025

As part of the Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations, our college organized a Herbal Garden visit for students from Sri Sairam Matriculation School and Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College.

The students were given a guided tour of our Herbal Garden, where they observed and learned about various medicinal plants used in Ayurvedic treatments. Faculty members explained the identification, cultivation, and therapeutic uses of key herbs, enriching the students’ understanding of natural and holistic healing.

This visit aimed to instill awareness and appreciation for traditional medicine and sustainable health practices. We thank the students and faculty of Sri Sairam Institutions for their enthusiastic participation.

Ayurveda Expo – Ayurveda Day 2025 On 12-09-2025

In celebration of Ayurveda Day 2025, our college organized an AyurExpo on 12th September 2025, aimed at showcasing the depth and diversity of Ayurvedic knowledge and practices.

The expo featured:

  • A display of Ayurveda books and journals, highlighting classical and contemporary literature
  • Varieties of Ayurvedic preparations, illustrating the use of herbs and formulations in health and wellness
  • Exhibits of important dry and wet drugs, offering insight into raw materials used in Ayurvedic treatments

Students from Sri Sairam Matriculation School and Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College attended the event and actively engaged with the exhibits, gaining valuable exposure to the foundational elements of Ayurveda.

The expo served as an educational platform, fostering awareness and appreciation for India’s rich tradition of holistic medicine.

Medical Camp and Health Education at Sairam Girls Hostel On 13-09-2025

On the eve of Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre organized a Health Check-up Medical Camp at the Sairam Girls Hostel on 13/09/2025.

The initiative, conducted under the “Swasth Nari – Sasakth Bharat” campaign, was part of a series of activities planned to spread awareness about Ayurveda and its holistic approach to health. Our medical team conducted health check-ups for the hostel students and provided personalized consultations.

Alongside the camp, our doctors delivered Health Education sessions, emphasizing the importance of Ayurveda in preventive healthcare. Key topics included Dinacharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), balanced diet, lifestyle modifications, and stress management techniques. Students were encouraged to adopt simple Ayurvedic practices in their daily lives for long-term health and wellbeing.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the hostel students, making it a memorable and impactful program in connection with the Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations.

Caring Hearts, Healthy Futures

On the occasion of World Heart Day, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, in association with the Rotary Club of Madras Mid-Town and Sri Ramachandra Medical College, organized a Free Cardiac Screening Camp on 10th September 2025 at the Leo Muthu Auditorium.

With 102+ patients benefitting from free services including ECHO, ECG, BP check-up, blood test, and cardiologist consultation, the initiative created awareness on cardiac health while emphasizing the importance of timely diagnosis and prevention.

This camp reflected our commitment to holistic wellness and serving the community with compassion.

Igniting Innovation – Orientation to Smart India Hackathon 2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre organized an Orientation Program on Smart India Hackathon 2025 under the banner of the Institution Innovation Council on 11th September 2025 at Smart Class I.

The session was graced by Dr. C. R. Rene Robin, Ph.D., Dean (Innovation), Sairam Institutions, Chennai, who served as the Resource Person. He inspired students with insights into innovation, problem-solving, and the role of hackathons in shaping India’s future, while also guiding them on how to convert innovative ideas into practical solutions.

As part of the program, students actively presented their innovative ideas, showcasing creativity and problem-solving abilities aligned with the objectives of the Smart India Hackathon. The session created a platform for students to nurture their innovative mindset and prepared them for future participation in national-level competitions.

CME Program on Vata Vyadhi Chikitsa – 09-09-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, Chennai, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on “Vata Vyadhi Chikitsa with an Emphasis on Avabahuka and Gridhrasi” on 9th September 2025 at VRR Hall.

The expert talk was delivered by Dr. R. Soumya, Senior Physician, Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, who shared valuable insights on Ayurvedic approaches and clinical practices in the management of Vata Vyadhi, focusing on Avabahuka and Gridhrasi.

The session provided in-depth knowledge for students and faculty, enhancing their clinical understanding and practical approach towards managing neurological and musculoskeletal disorders through Ayurveda.

National Nutrition Week Celebration On 02-09-2025

On 2nd September 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre (SSAMC) celebrated National Nutrition Week by organizing an outreach program at Poonthandalam Primary School.

As part of the initiative, nutritional kits were distributed to the children, and a health camp was conducted to assess their basic health parameters. Along with this, faculty and students of SSAMC conducted an interactive awareness session on the importance of nutrition in daily life.

During the session, school students were educated on:

  • The role of a balanced diet in growth and development.
  • The importance of locally available foods like vegetables, fruits, and millets.
  • Avoiding junk foods and sugary snacks for better health.
  • Practicing healthy eating habits from a young age.

The program emphasized that nutrition is the foundation of good health, and small daily choices can prevent lifestyle disorders in the future. Children actively participated, asked questions, and engaged in fun learning activities, making the session lively and impactful.
This initiative not only promoted awareness on healthy living but also reflected SSAMC’s commitment to community health and education.
