Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre organized a CME on World Lung Cancer Day with an expert talk by Dr. B. Karniha, M.D, Consultant Pulmonologist, SRM Medical College & Hospital. The session covered early symptoms, diagnosis, and management of lung cancer.
The theme and goal for 2025 is:
Bridging Gaps – Promoting Timely Detection and Equitable Care.
This year’s focus is on:
Encouraging early screening and diagnosis, especially in high-risk groups
Reducing stigma associated with lung cancer
Ensuring equitable access to care and treatment, across all communities.

 Special Medical Camp at Somangalam PHC On 29-07-2025

Organized by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre successfully organized a Special Medical Camp at the Somangalam Primary Health Centre on July 29, 2025, as part of its ongoing community outreach and public health initiatives.

In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras Midtown, the camp included distribution of nutritional kits to expectant mothers, aiming to promote maternal and fetal health through nutritional awareness and support.

This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to integrative healthcare, preventive medicine, and its active involvement in improving rural health outcomes through Ayurveda.

Free Ayurveda Medical Camp and Free Eye Screening Camp On 26-07-2025

Organized by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre In Association with Rotary Club of Madras Midtown & Chettinad Hospital, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized a Free Ayurveda Medical Camp and Free Eye Screening Camp on 26th July 2025, in association with the Rotary Club of Madras Midtown and Chettinad Hospital. This initiative reflects the institution’s dedication to community health outreach and integrative medical service.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic public participation:

  • 81 patients received free Ayurvedic consultations, where expert physicians provided detailed assessments and personalized treatment recommendations.
  • A total of 53 individuals availed the free eye screening services, out of which:
  • 10 patients were selected for free cataract surgery.
  • 41 patients were prescribed and will be provided with free spectacles.

The camp served as a successful example of collaborative healthcare, merging traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern medical support to benefit the local community.

Workshop on Business Model Canvas On 04-05-2025

On 4th June 2025, the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted a workshop on the Business Model Canvas, featuring an engaging session by Dr. K. Maran, Director of Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies. The workshop introduced students and faculty to key components of business modeling, including value proposition, customer segments, and revenue streams, aiming to foster entrepreneurial thinking and innovation in the field of Ayurveda.

Experiential Learning in Aquatic Ayurveda On 28-04-2025

On 28th May 2025, the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, in association with the Department of Dravyaguna, organized a field visit to the Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Aquaculture (DIVA), Muttukadu, Chennai. The visit focused on exploring the integration of Ayurvedic medicinal plants in aquaculture for sustainable aquatic health

Yoga Sangam – Ministry of Ayush, Government of India 21-06-2025

As part of the International Day of Yoga 2025, our institution successfully organized a series of yoga programs under the banner of the “Yoga Sangam” initiative by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The events were held across multiple venues both within the Sairam campus and external locations, with the objective of spreading awareness on the significance of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Each session followed the Common Yoga Protocol and included practical demonstrations, guided yoga practices, and health awareness talks by trained yoga professionals. The initiative saw active participation from students, faculty, healthcare staff, and members of the community, reflecting our institution’s dedication to promoting holistic health and wellness.

From students to staff and community members – the participation was truly inspiring! Grateful to the Ministry of Ayush, our coordinators, volunteers, and all attendees for making it a grand success.
