Health Talk on Menstrual Hygiene and Women’s Health

Event Under: Swasth Nari, Sasakth Bharat Program
Our college organized a special health awareness program on 16th September 2025 as part of the Swasth Nari, Sasakth Bharat initiative. The session was conducted for school girls with the objective of creating awareness about menstrual hygiene practices, overall women’s health, and wellness.
The interactive talk focused on:
- Educating young girls about the importance of personal hygiene during menstruation.
- Breaking myths and misconceptions related to menstruation.
- Promoting healthy lifestyle practices for adolescent girls.
- Empowering young women with knowledge to take charge of their health and well-being.
The program received enthusiastic participation from the students. The session helped the young audience to gain confidence, ask questions freely, and understand the importance of self-care for a healthy future.

IIC Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College Hosts Session on Accelerators & Incubation
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized a session on “Accelerators/Incubation: Opportunity for Students, Faculties & Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” on 23rd September 2025 at the Sri Sairam Incubation Center Seminar Hall as part of its 4th Quarter activities. Ms. H. Deepika, Research Specialist, Neurotronix Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, served as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of incubation and accelerator programs in fostering innovation, guiding students and faculty towards entrepreneurial opportunities and startup ecosystem engagement.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, under the banner of the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session on “Angel Investment / VC Funding – Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs” on 25th September 2025 at the Sri Sairam Incubation Center Seminar Hall.
The session was graced by Mr. Arvind Subramanian, Angel Investor and Co-founder of Enlighten Capitals, Chennai, as the Chief Guest.
The interactive talk covered:
- The importance of Angel Investors and Venture Capital funding for startups.
- How early-stage entrepreneurs can prepare themselves to attract investments.

Fire Safety Training Program On 25-09-2025

Cultivating Entrepreneurship in Ayurveda: IIC’s Intra-Institutional Startup Challenge
Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) organized an Intra-Institutional Startup Competition on 22nd September 2025 as part of its 4th Quarter Events. The event provided a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, which were evaluated by the jury panel comprising Dr. S. Prakash, Senior Research Mentor, Sri Ram Siddha Medical College, Dr. A. Ramakrishna, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, and Mrs. S.V. Juno Bella Gracia, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Engineering College. The competition highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in Ayurveda and allied sciences.
Ayurveda Day 2025 Celebration – Inter College Essay Writing & Elocution Competitions
As part of the Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, in association with Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Chennai, proudly organized Inter College Essay Writing and Elocution Competitions on our campus.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges across the region. The competitions provided a vibrant platform for young minds to articulate their ideas on Ayurveda, health, wellness, and the relevance of traditional knowledge in today’s world.
The Essay Writing Competition encouraged participants to present their perspectives through well-researched and insightful write-ups, while the Elocution Competition highlighted their eloquence, confidence, and clarity of expression.
As part of the program, the visiting students were taken on a guided tour of our campus, where they had the opportunity to interact with faculty members and gain insights into the facilities, academic environment, and ongoing initiatives of our institution.
This collaborative effort with CCRAS, Chennai, not only fostered academic exchange but also created a space for students to engage with Ayurveda’s principles, promoting deeper awareness and appreciation of this holistic science. Ayurveda Day 2025 – A Historic Milestone – MoU with CCRAS
On the occasion of Ayurveda Day Celebrations 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre reached a proud milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Chennai) on 19th September 2025.
This momentous collaboration stands as a testimony to our institution’s commitment to excellence in Ayurveda education, clinical practice, and research. Through this MoU, new avenues for joint research projects, student training programs, academic exchange, and evidence-based Ayurvedic studies will be created, further enriching the Ayurvedic fraternity.

Ayurveda Day 2025 – Walkathon Event
As part of the Ayurveda Day Celebrations 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, in collaboration with the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Chennai, proudly organized a Walkathon on 19th September 2025.
The event began at the Somangalam Primary Health Centre (PHC) and proceeded towards our college campus. The walkathon aimed to create awareness among the public on the significance of Ayurveda in preventive healthcare, lifestyle management, and holistic well-being.
Students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, and staff members participated with great enthusiasm, carrying placards and raising slogans that highlighted the importance of Ayurveda in everyday life. The spirited walk not only promoted community awareness but also reflected the commitment of our institution towards spreading the timeless values of the Ayurvedic system of medicine.
