The Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit Club of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre successfully celebrated Sanskrit Day (Sanskrita Divas) and Acharya Charaka Jayanti Mahotsav on 18th August 2026.

The event was organized to commemorate the rich heritage of Sanskrit and honor the invaluable contributions of Acharya Charaka, the pioneer of Ayurveda. The celebration highlighted the significance of Sanskrit as the foundation of Ayurvedic knowledge while inspiring students to appreciate classical Ayurvedic literature and its relevance in contemporary practice.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. A. Sudhir, Principal, with the support of the Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit Club coordinators, making the event a meaningful tribute to India’s timeless knowledge tradition.
