The Department of Shalya Tantra successfully organized the Sushruta Pradharshani – Ayurvedic Surgical Expo on 8th and 9th December 2025 at the Yoga Hall, as part of Dheera 2K21 academic initiatives.

The expo was inaugurated by Dr. M. Suresh Kumar, General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, who motivated and inspired the students with his encouraging words and best wishes. His presence added immense value to the event, highlighting the relevance of surgical principles across traditional and modern medical systems.

The Pradharshani showcased classical Ayurvedic surgical concepts, instruments, models, and demonstrations, providing students with hands-on exposure to fundamental surgical understanding. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Siddha and Homoeopathy students, promoting interdisciplinary learning and enriching the academic experience.

The two-day exhibition served as an excellent platform for students to deepen their knowledge of Sushruta’s contributions to surgery and appreciate the scientific foundation of Ayurvedic Shalya Tantra.
