On 19th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized a motivational session titled “My Story,” featuring Mr. Muthuvel Arumugam, Senior R&D Executive at Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation. Held from 9 to 10 AM, the session offered an inspiring glimpse into Mr. Muthuvel’s journey as a successful innovator. He shared his experiences in research and development, detailing the challenges he faced and the strategies that led to his achievements. His story highlighted the importance of perseverance, creativity, and collaboration in driving innovation. The session left attendees inspired and equipped with practical insights to pursue their own innovative endeavors.  

On 17th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre hosted an inspiring session titled “From Idea to Impact,” led by Mr. Sathish Kumar, Founder and Managing Director of LeoMed Health Care Pvt Ltd. The motivational talk focused on the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the transformation of ideas into impactful ventures. Mr. Sathish shared his experiences, challenges, and milestones in establishing LeoMed Health Care, offering valuable insights into innovation, resilience, and strategic planning. His practical advice and inspiring anecdotes motivated participants to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and a clear vision for success.  

On 16th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre hosted an enlightening session on the “Basics of Intellectual Property Rights and its Importance for Innovators and Entrepreneurs.” The session was conducted by Dr. G. Puthilibai, Professor of Chemistry at Sri Sairam Engineering College. Dr. Puthilibai emphasized the significance of intellectual property rights (IPR) in protecting innovative ideas and fostering entrepreneurial growth. She explained the different types of IPR, their application in various fields, and how innovators can leverage them to secure their creations. The session provided valuable insights into the legal frameworks and ethical considerations essential for entrepreneurs, inspiring participants to integrate IPR strategies into their innovation journeys.

For the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 grand event held on 11th December 2024, with participants from all over India, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College Hospital functioned as the First Aid Unit. A dedicated team of doctors from the college provided medical support, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the event.

Parent-Teacher Meeting for the 1st Professional students was held on the 21st and 22nd of November 2024 at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre. The meeting provided a valuable platform for teachers and parents to discuss the academic progress, overall performance, and areas for improvement of the students. It also offered an opportunity for parents to understand the teaching methodologies, curriculum structure, and expectations for the 1st Professional year, fostering better communication and collaboration between the faculty and parents for the students’ holistic development.

On 18th November 2024, the Dravyaguna Department organized an educational visit for the II Prof BAMS students of our college to the Captain Srinivasa Murty Central Drug Research Institute, under the CCRAS (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences). The visit aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of the research methodologies, advanced drug development processes, and the integration of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern scientific advancements. Students had the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facilities, interact with experienced researchers, and gain valuable insights into the institute’s contributions to Ayurvedic medicine and pharmacological research.
