Cancer Awareness Walkathon on 12-02-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital successfully organized a Cancer Awareness Walkathon on 12th February 2025 to spread awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and holistic healing approaches. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from our students, faculty, and staff, who actively engaged in educating the public about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in cancer prevention.

The walkathon commenced from our college premises and covered key locations, ensuring maximum public reach. Holding banners, placards, and informative pamphlets, our participants conveyed vital messages on cancer awareness, emphasizing the significance of early screening, dietary modifications, and the role of Ayurveda in cancer management.

The initiative was well-received by the community, with many individuals showing interest in understanding preventive healthcare and holistic treatments. Our students, as future Ayurvedic physicians, took this opportunity to interact with the public, addressing their queries and explaining the impact of lifestyle changes on overall well-being.

Himalaya Wellness Company Honors Toppers and Supports Interns on 10-02-2025

On February 10, 2025, Himalaya Wellness Company honored top-performing students of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital with cash awards and provided starter kits to all interns. Sairam Institutions at the BSG Diamond Jubilee Jamboree A Commitment to Global Development on 28-01-2025

Sairam institutions had the privilege of participating in Global Development village at Bharath Scouts and Guides Diamond jubliee and Muthamizh arignar Kalaignar centenary special Jamboree in Trichy. Sairam Medical College is proud to be a part of the Global Development Village- Jamboree in Trichy.

The village was Inaugurated on January 28, 2025, by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri Udhayanidhi Stalin, in the presence of the Hon’ble Education Minister, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi; Shri K.N. Nehru, Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply of Tamil Nadu; and Shri Ma. Subramaniam, Health Minister of Tamil Nadu. The event showcased innovative ideas aimed at global progress.

The Global Development Village features pavilions dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and various Scouts initiatives, fostering awareness and action for a better world.

On 23rd January 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council hosted an engaging Hackathon Orientation Program as part of Sai Med Hackathon 2.0, celebrating National Youth Day. Held at ALPHA Hall, Sri Sairam Institutions, Chennai, the session focused on cutting-edge topics such as Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering, Biomarker Discovery for Cancer Diagnostics, and Stem Cell-Based Models for Disease Modelling. Dr. Satish Ramalingam, Associate Professor, Department of Genetic Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, served as the resource person, sharing valuable insights into advancements in genetic engineering and biomedical research, inspiring participants to delve into these transformative fields.

On 23rd January 2025, as part of Sai Med Hackathon 2.0 and in celebration of National Science Day, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council organized an enlightening session on Biomedical Instrumentation in Healthcare. Held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the program featured Dr. D.C. Mathangi, Women Scientist and Professor & Head of the Department of Mind Body Medicine & Lifestyle Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, SRIHER, Chennai. Dr. Mathangi, also the Internal Quality Assurance Cell Coordinator of SRIHER, shared her expertise, offering valuable insights into the role of biomedical instrumentation in advancing healthcare.
