Saimed Hackathon 2.0 on 14-03-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted SAIMED HACKATHON 2.0 , on 14th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre, where 10 teams participated in developing cutting-edge healthcare solutions. The top three projects were selected for expert mentorship and further development. The jury panel featured Dr. V. Anitha, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies, and Dr. Divya K. M, Associate Professor, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, with Dr. V. Senthilkumar, Manager Scientific/BioProcess, TICEL Bio Park, Chennai, as the chief guest. The event successfully fostered innovation, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications in biomedical and healthcare technologies.

Demo Day at the Sairam Incubation Centre on 13-03-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted Demo Day on 13th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre. The event provided a platform for 15 teams to present their innovative ideas, with the top three projects selected for further incubation and mentorship. The jury panel included Dr. P. Velusamy, Joint Director, Innovative and Incubation Centre for Health, Sree Balaji Medical College; Ms. S. Sheeba Rachel, Assistant Professor, Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology; and Dr. Krithika Narayanan, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College. The event encouraged students to refine their entrepreneurial skills and enhance their technological innovations

Dr. G. Puthilibai – Biological Activities of Some Heterocyclic Compounds – 10-03-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized a guest lecture on 10th March 2025, titled “Biological Activities of Some Heterocyclic Compounds and Their Medical Applications.” The session was delivered by Dr. G. Puthilibai, Professor at Sri Sairam Engineering College. The lecture provided valuable insights into the significance of heterocyclic compounds in the field of medicine, emphasizing their therapeutic potential and diverse applications. Faculty members and students actively participated, enhancing their understanding of the role of these compounds in advancing healthcare solutions.

Achieving Problem-Solution Fit & Product-Market Fit on 10-03-2025

Sam Austin and team aimed to equip students, entrepreneurs, and innovators with practical insights into validating ideas, refining product development, and aligning innovations with market needs.

Innovation to Impact Understanding TRL & Tech Commercialization on 07-03-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted an expert talk on “Process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness Level (TRL)” and “Commercialization of Lab Technologies & Tech-Transfer” on 7th March 2025. The session, delivered by Dr. B. Thanuja, focused on the critical aspects of innovation development, technology readiness assessment, and the commercialization process of lab-based research.

Bridging Education & Innovation Sri Sairam Ayurveda IIC’s School Outreach on 27-02-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized an outreach program on 27th February 2025 at Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, East Tambaram, Selaiyur, Chennai.

This initiative aimed to foster innovation and creativity among school students by engaging Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) and the School Innovation Council (SIC). Through interactive sessions, students were introduced to problem-solving techniques, design thinking, and the significance of innovation in various fields.

Mammogram Check-up Camp at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital on 13-02-2025 & 14-02-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, in collaboration with ACS Medical College, successfully conducted a two-day Mammogram Check-up Camp on 13th and 14th February 2025. This initiative was aimed at promoting early detection and awareness of breast health among women, ensuring timely diagnosis and preventive care.

Highlights of the Camp:

  • Free Mammogram Screening: Women from various age groups availed the opportunity for early breast cancer detection.
  • Expert Consultation: Senior radiologists and healthcare professionals from ACS Medical College provided expert evaluations and guidance.
  • Awareness Sessions: Informative sessions were conducted on breast health, self-examination techniques, and lifestyle modifications for prevention.
  • Large Beneficiary Turnout: A significant number of women benefited from this initiative, reinforcing the importance of proactive healthcare.

The camp emphasized the critical role of early screening in breast cancer prevention and treatment. By providing free access to mammogram screenings, we took a step towards empowering women with the knowledge and resources needed to prioritize their health.
