Dr. Karthikeyan Ramachandran, Professor and Head, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, served as the resource person. The session highlighted the transformative role of technology in promoting inclusion, independence, and innovation in healthcare and rehabilitation, encouraging participants to explore interdisciplinary solutions for societal well-being.
IIC 4th Quarter Event – 10/10/2025
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre (IIC ID: IC202426024) organized its 4th Quarter Event for the academic year 2024–25 — a Session/Panel Discussion with Innovation and Startup Ecosystem Enablers — on 10th October 2025 at the Sri Sairam Incubation Centre. The session featured distinguished speakers, Prof. Dr. C. R. Rene Robin, Dean (Innovation), Sri Sairam Institutions; Dr. Rathinam Raja, Professor & Director, Centre for Integrative Medical Research, Sri Balaji Medical College & Hospital; and Dr. Naveen Kumar Pandian, CEO & Chairman, INSRI SIDDHA, Chennai. The discussion provided valuable insights into fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaborative research across traditional and modern healthcare systems.
Blood Donation Camp Organized by Our College
A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized on 07.10.2025 by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre in association with the Madras Voluntary Blood Bureau and Hindu Mission Hospital. The event aimed to promote the spirit of social responsibility and the importance of voluntary blood donation among students and staff.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, contributing towards saving lives and supporting healthcare needs in the community.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Conducted by ALERT NGO
A Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Programme was conducted on 07th October 2025 at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre by Mr. Karal Marks from ALERT NGO. The session aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques crucial for handling critical situations.
The training covered practical demonstrations on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking management, and first aid for emergency scenarios. Both students and staff members actively participated in the session, gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge on effective life-saving interventions.
The program emphasized the importance of timely and correct emergency response to preserve life until professional medical assistance is available. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to promoting health awareness, preparedness, and community responsibility among its members.

Ayudha Pooja & Saraswathi Pooja Celebrations
On 30th September 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre observed the auspicious occasions of Ayudha Pooja and Saraswathi Pooja with devotion and enthusiasm.
Faculty members, staff, and students participated in the celebrations, offering prayers to Goddess Saraswathi for wisdom and knowledge, and performing Ayudha Pooja to honor the tools and instruments that aid in learning and professional practice.
The event created a vibrant spiritual atmosphere on campus, fostering a sense of tradition, gratitude, and togetherness among the college community.
Industrial Visit to Apex Pharmaceuticals
As part of the academic curriculum, the students of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre visited Apex Pharmaceuticals on 29th September 2025.
This educational visit was organized by the Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana with the objective of providing students with practical exposure and industry insights into pharmaceutical processes.
The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-time practices in drug formulation and manufacturing, thereby enriching their learning experience.

Health Talk on Menstrual Hygiene and Women’s Health

Our college organized a special health awareness program on 16th September 2025 as part of the Swasth Nari, Sasakth Bharat initiative. The session was conducted for school girls with the objective of creating awareness about menstrual hygiene practices, overall women’s health, and wellness.
The interactive talk focused on:
- Educating young girls about the importance of personal hygiene during menstruation.
- Breaking myths and misconceptions related to menstruation.
- Promoting healthy lifestyle practices for adolescent girls.
- Empowering young women with knowledge to take charge of their health and well-being.
The program received enthusiastic participation from the students. The session helped the young audience to gain confidence, ask questions freely, and understand the importance of self-care for a healthy future.

Ms. H. Deepika, Research Specialist, Neurotronix Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, served as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of incubation and accelerator programs in fostering innovation, guiding students and faculty towards entrepreneurial opportunities and startup ecosystem engagement.
