Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, in association with the Rotary Club of Madras Mid-Town, successfully organized a Special Awareness Workshop on “SINGAPEN – Female Special Force: Awareness of Security for Women” on 22 July 2026 at SSR Hall.

The workshop featured Thiru S. Prabakaran, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Wing, and Thiru S. Anantharaman, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Against Women and Children, as the distinguished resource persons. They delivered insightful sessions on women’s safety, cyber security, prevention of cybercrimes, digital responsibility, and legal awareness related to crimes against women and children.

The speakers emphasized the importance of responsible use of social media, protection of personal information, identification of online frauds, cybercrime reporting mechanisms, and preventive measures to ensure the safety and security of women in both physical and digital environments. The programme also highlighted the role of students in fostering a safe and secure society through awareness, vigilance, and responsible digital citizenship.

The interactive session encouraged active participation from students, who engaged with the resource persons through discussions and a question-and-answer session. The practical guidance shared by the experts enhanced participants’ understanding of personal safety, cyber hygiene, and the legal support systems available for women.

The workshop concluded successfully with an enthusiastic response from the participants and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to empowering students through awareness programmes that promote safety, security, digital literacy, and social responsibility.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre successfully conducted a Drug Awareness and Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Somangalam, on 23 July 2026 as part of its community outreach and public health awareness initiatives.

The programme aimed to educate school students on the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of making informed, healthy lifestyle choices. The awareness session highlighted the physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse, while encouraging students to develop resilience against peer pressure and adopt positive life habits.

A dedicated session on Menstrual Hygiene Awareness was also conducted for girl students, focusing on menstrual health, personal hygiene, nutrition, dispelling common myths, and promoting healthy menstrual practices. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene, seeking timely medical advice when required, and creating a supportive environment to ensure the well-being of adolescent girls.

The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts.

SAIRAM AYUSH for LIFE – 2026, the Integrated International Conclave on “Bridging Traditional Systems of Medicine for Global Health,” was successfully conducted as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of excellence at Sairam Institutions.

The two-day international conference brought together distinguished chief guests, international speakers, vice chancellors, academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and students from across India and abroad.

The second day featured scientific paper and poster presentations, expert panel discussions, research sessions, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and the valedictory ceremony. Participants actively engaged in academic and professional exchanges, making the conference a valuable learning experience for all attendees.

The conference successfully achieved its objective of promoting collaboration among the AYUSH systems and strengthening the role of traditional medicine in addressing global health challenges.

During the session, Dr. P. S.
