Parent-Teacher Meeting for the 1st Professional students was held on the 21st and 22nd of November 2024 at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre. The meeting provided a valuable platform for teachers and parents to discuss the academic progress, overall performance, and areas for improvement of the students. It also offered an opportunity for parents to understand the teaching methodologies, curriculum structure, and expectations for the 1st Professional year, fostering better communication and collaboration between the faculty and parents for the students’ holistic development.

Exploring Ayurvedic Research II Prof BAMS Students Visit CSMCRI on 18-11-2024

On 18th November 2024, the Dravyaguna Department organized an educational visit for the II Prof BAMS students of our college to the Captain Srinivasa Murty Central Drug Research Institute, under the CCRAS (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences). The visit aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of the research methodologies, advanced drug development processes, and the integration of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern scientific advancements. Students had the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facilities, interact with experienced researchers, and gain valuable insights into the institute’s contributions to Ayurvedic medicine and pharmacological research.

On the occasion of World Piles Day, 20th November 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized an insightful webinar focusing on the topic “Diagnosis and Recent Advances in the Management of Piles.” The session was delivered by Dr. Alok Mohanlal Gupta, a renowned Consultant Proctologist at Gupta Hospital, Maharashtra, who shared his expertise on the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of piles. The webinar aimed to enhance understanding among medical students about the current advancements in managing this common yet often overlooked condition, highlighting effective treatment options and innovative approaches.

As part of their Transitional Curriculum, the students of the 2024-2025 batch from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre visited Dhanwanthralaya Ayurveda Speciality Hospital. During the visit, they toured all the departments in the hospital and they had the opportunity to interact with Dr. Vanitha Murlikumar, the founder and chairman of Dhanwanthralaya Ayurveda Speciality Hospital, and gained valuable knowledge about specialized Ayurvedic treatments and practices. This experience enhanced their understanding of the real-world applications of Ayurveda in a clinical setting.
