Student Participation in Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) – 4th & 5th-08-2025

Students of our college actively participated in the Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) survey held on 4th and 5th August 2025. The program was conducted in association with the Health Inspectors of Kundrathur Block, following a request from the District Health Department – Kanchipuram.

As part of this public health initiative, students joined field teams in conducting door-to-door surveys to help identify suspected leprosy cases and promote awareness in the community. Their participation not only contributed to disease surveillance efforts but also strengthened their exposure to community healthcare practices.

This collaboration highlights the institution’s dedication to public health outreach and experiential learning

Free Spectacle Distribution Program On 01-08-2025

As a follow-up to the Free Eye Screening Camp held on 26th July 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras Midtown and Chettinad Hospital, organized a Free Spectacle Distribution Program on 01 August 2025.

A total of 41 beneficiaries who were identified during the screening camp received free spectacles, ensuring improved vision and enhanced quality of life.

This initiative reflects the institution’s continuous commitment to community healthcare and outreach.

CME Program on World Lung Cancer Day On 01-08-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre organized a CME on World Lung Cancer Day with an expert talk by Dr. B. Karniha, M.D, Consultant Pulmonologist, SRM Medical College & Hospital. The session covered early symptoms, diagnosis, and management of lung cancer.
The theme and goal for 2025 is:
Bridging Gaps – Promoting Timely Detection and Equitable Care.
This year’s focus is on:
Encouraging early screening and diagnosis, especially in high-risk groups
Reducing stigma associated with lung cancer
Ensuring equitable access to care and treatment, across all communities.

Workshop on Business Model Canvas On 04-05-2025

On 4th June 2025, the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted a workshop on the Business Model Canvas, featuring an engaging session by Dr. K. Maran, Director of Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies. The workshop introduced students and faculty to key components of business modeling, including value proposition, customer segments, and revenue streams, aiming to foster entrepreneurial thinking and innovation in the field of Ayurveda.

Experiential Learning in Aquatic Ayurveda On 28-04-2025

On 28th May 2025, the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, in association with the Department of Dravyaguna, organized a field visit to the Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Aquaculture (DIVA), Muttukadu, Chennai. The visit focused on exploring the integration of Ayurvedic medicinal plants in aquaculture for sustainable aquatic health

Yoga Sangam – Ministry of Ayush, Government of India 21-06-2025

As part of the International Day of Yoga 2025, our institution successfully organized a series of yoga programs under the banner of the “Yoga Sangam” initiative by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The events were held across multiple venues both within the Sairam campus and external locations, with the objective of spreading awareness on the significance of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The initiative saw active participation from students, faculty, healthcare staff, and members of the community, reflecting our institution’s dedication to promoting holistic health and wellness.

From students to staff and community members – the participation was truly inspiring! Grateful to the Ministry of Ayush, our coordinators, volunteers, and all attendees for making it a grand success.

International Day of Yoga Sangam On 21-06-2025

Sanskrit Debate Conducted by the Department of Samhita Siddhanta & Sanskrit Club on 21-05-2025

The Department of Samhita Siddhanta in association with the Sanskrit Club of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital organized an engaging Sanskrit Debate on 21st May 2025. This event served as a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their proficiency in Sanskrit while delving into classical Ayurvedic concepts through thoughtful discussion and traditional dialectics.

Students showcased exceptional linguistic skills and a deep understanding of Ayurvedic scriptures, promoting academic excellence and a renewed interest in the classical language that forms the foundation of Ayurveda.

The institution applauds the efforts of both the department and the Sanskrit Club for successfully organizing this intellectually enriching event and congratulates all the students for their enthusiastic participation.

Himalaya Starter Kit Distribution to Interns on 21-05-2025

On 21st May 2025, the internees of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital were provided with Himalaya Starter Kits as part of an initiative to enhance their clinical training experience. This thoughtful gesture, in collaboration with Himalaya Wellness Company, is aimed at equipping future Ayurvedic professionals with firsthand exposure to essential Ayurvedic formulations and wellness products.

CME on Precautions for Treatment Modalities on 21-05-2025

The Department of Kayachikitsa at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on 21st May 2025 focusing on the topic “Precautions for Treatment Modalities.”

We were honored to have Dr. M. N. Sunandan, Chief Physician at Aatharvanee Ayurdhaan, as the distinguished speaker for the session. Dr. Sunandan shared valuable clinical insights and practical guidelines on ensuring safety and efficacy during various Ayurvedic treatment procedures. The session was highly informative and greatly benefited both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as the faculty members.
