Ayurveda Day 2025 – Ayurveda for People and Planet

Ayurveda Day is a global initiative to promote holistic health and environmental harmony through Ayurveda.

Did you know?

Ayurveda Day was initiated in 2016 by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, inspired by the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The first Ayurveda Day was observed on 28th October 2016 (Dhanteras), marking the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanvantari, the divine physician.

From 2025 onwards
Ayurveda Day will be celebrated on 23rd September, the Autumnal Equinox. This shift symbolizes the perfect balance in nature—equal day and night—reflecting Ayurveda’s principle of harmony between body, mind, spirit, and the environment.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), in association with Saveetha Medical College, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on “The Significance of Research in Healthcare – Transforming Knowledge into Innovative Outcomes” on 27th December 2024 at SSR Hall, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital. The event featured a distinguished talk by Dr. Rekha Thiruvengadam, emphasizing the critical role of research in healthcare and its transformative impact on medical advancements

Protecting Ideas, Promoting Innovation: The Role of IIC and IPR at Sairam Ayurveda

The Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre play a pivotal role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the institution. Through regular workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, the IIC encourages students and faculty to develop innovative solutions in Ayurveda and related fields. The IPR Cell provides essential guidance on protecting intellectual property, ensuring that novel ideas and products are safeguarded. MoU

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre and Sri Sairam Tech Incubator Foundation, Bangalore on 18th may 2024 ,aims to foster collaboration in the fields of research, innovation, and development in Ayurveda and healthcare technology.


Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SRI RAMACHANDRA INNOVATION INCUBATION CENTRE (SRIIC) on July 12 at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Sri Ramachandra Nagar, Porur, Chennai.


Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Center and TICEL BIOPARK was held on June 12 at Ticel Biopark, Phase 2, Taramani, CSIR Road, Chennai. This strategic partnership aims to foster innovation, research opportunities for our students and faculty in the research field, and the utilization of equipment and laboratories in research and development.
