The 8th National Ayurveda Celebrations was held at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, Chennai, on December 19, 2023. The event featured Dr. Su. Thillai Vallal, MD, DM (Cardiology), as the esteemed Chief Guest, delivering insights on the integration of health systems in India, envisioning India as the health capital of the world in the future. As a highlight, Sri Sairam College recognized and honored five outstanding Ayurvedic doctors with the prestigious “Excellence in the Field of Ayurveda” award, acknowledging their significant contributions to the field. The event also included the distribution of certificates to winners of various competitions held as part of the Ayurveda Day celebrations. The Chief Information Officer K. Nareshraj, The Director of Medical Colleges Dr. R. Vanitha Muralikumar, Principals of Siddha, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Medical Colleges S. Madhukumar, Sudhir P.A, Cheramanan and others participated in the event.
