The NSS volunteers from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, in collaboration with UBA volunteers from Sri Sairam Engineering College, successfully conducted a Leprosy Screening Survey in the village of Naduveerapattu on 19th and 20th February 2025.

This initiative aimed to identify potential cases of leprosy at an early stage and spread awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Volunteers engaged with the local community, conducted screenings, and educated residents on leprosy prevention and healthcare measures.

The event was part of the institutions’ commitment to social responsibility and rural health development under the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).

The Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Development (RIED) Cell at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted its quarterly meeting with the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) on 27th March 2025 from 12 PM to 1 PM at the Dravyaguna Lab. The meeting focused on reviewing past activities, planning future events, strengthening research collaborations, and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

We are delighted to share that our faculty members and students enthusiastically attended the insightful MIC-driven session featuring Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE and Chief Innovation Officer at the MoE’s Innovation Cell.

Dr. Jere’s address on the MIC Programs and Schemes was truly inspiring, shedding light on the latest initiatives aimed at fostering innovation in higher education. His vision and expertise have sparked renewed excitement as we embark on this journey of innovation for the academic year 2024-25.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted SAIMED HACKATHON 2.0 , on 14th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre, where 10 teams participated in developing cutting-edge healthcare solutions. The top three projects were selected for expert mentorship and further development. The jury panel featured Dr. V. Anitha, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies, and Dr. Divya K. M, Associate Professor, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, with Dr. V. Senthilkumar, Manager Scientific/BioProcess, TICEL Bio Park, Chennai, as the chief guest. The event successfully fostered innovation, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications in biomedical and healthcare technologies.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted Demo Day on 13th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre. The event provided a platform for 15 teams to present their innovative ideas, with the top three projects selected for further incubation and mentorship. The jury panel included Dr. P. Velusamy, Joint Director, Innovative and Incubation Centre for Health, Sree Balaji Medical College; Ms. S. Sheeba Rachel, Assistant Professor, Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology; and Dr. Krithika Narayanan, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College. The event encouraged students to refine their entrepreneurial skills and enhance their technological innovations

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized a guest lecture on 10th March 2025, titled “Biological Activities of Some Heterocyclic Compounds and Their Medical Applications.” The session was delivered by Dr. G. Puthilibai, Professor at Sri Sairam Engineering College. The lecture provided valuable insights into the significance of heterocyclic compounds in the field of medicine, emphasizing their therapeutic potential and diverse applications. Faculty members and students actively participated, enhancing their understanding of the role of these compounds in advancing healthcare solutions.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized a session on “Achieving Problem-Solution Fit & Product-Market Fit” on 10th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre. The session, led by Mr. J. Sam Austin and team aimed to equip students, entrepreneurs, and innovators with practical insights into validating ideas, refining product development, and aligning innovations with market needs.
