A Special Medical Camp was successfully conducted at Kalivanthapattu Village on 14th February 2026 by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College (SSAMC) in collaboration with the Rotary Club and ACS Medical College and Hospital.
The camp was organized through the Mobile Mammography Bus initiative with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services to the rural population. The program primarily focused on early screening, preventive healthcare, and creating awareness regarding women’s health and general well-being.
A dedicated team of doctors, interns, and faculty members from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College actively participated in the camp, offering medical consultations, health screenings, and patient education. The villagers benefitted greatly from this outreach initiative and appreciated the efforts taken to bring quality healthcare services directly to their community.

Eye Check-Up Camp Conducted at Malaipattu Village
Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College (SSAMC), in association with Chettinad Hospital, successfully conducted a Free Eye Check-Up Camp at Malaipattu Village on 20th February 2026.
The camp aimed to promote awareness about eye health and provide accessible screening services to the rural community. A team of experienced ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals conducted comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing and preliminary screening for common ocular conditions.
Villagers benefited from expert consultation, guidance on preventive eye care, and referrals for advanced management wherever required. The initiative witnessed active participation from the local community and reflects SSAMC’s continued commitment towards rural healthcare outreach and community service.
Medical Camp on General Health Check-up & Mammogram Screening – 18th February 2026 at 10:00 AM
Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, in association with Queen Mary’s College, Chennai, organized a Medical Camp on 18th February 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The camp focused on providing General Health Check-up and Mammogram Screening services for the benefit of the participants. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare awareness and facilitate early detection of potential health issues among women. A team of medical professionals from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College actively participated in the camp and delivered essential healthcare services and consultations to the attendees. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as a valuable platform in promoting community health and well-being.
Special Medical Camp at Little Drops Home, Somangalam
As part of its commitment to community service and social responsibility, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, through its hospital wing, successfully conducted a Special Medical Camp at Little Drops Home, Somangalam, on 10th December 2025.
The medical camp was organized with the objective of providing essential healthcare services to the residents of the home. The medical team offered general health check-ups, clinical evaluation, and necessary medical consultation, emphasizing preventive healthcare and early detection of common health issues. Health awareness and lifestyle guidance were also provided to promote overall well-being. The beneficiaries actively participated in the camp and expressed their gratitude for the care and attention received. Free Piles Camp Conducted on World Piles Day – 20th November
On the occasion of World Piles Day, our college organized a Free Piles Screening and Consultation Camp on 20th November at Nanganallur. The event aimed to raise awareness on anorectal health, ensure early detection of piles, and provide authentic Ayurvedic and para-surgical management options to the public.
As part of the pre-camp activities, on 19th November, our students actively conducted canvassing in and around nearby localities to promote the camp and encourage community participation. Their dedicated efforts played a vital role in achieving an excellent turnout.
During the camp, participants received free consultation, screening, and guidance on treatment modalities such as Ksharasutra, diet and lifestyle modification, and preventive care. The program highlighted our institution’s commitment to community health and advancing integrative Ayurvedic proctology.
Diabetes & Dental Check-Up Camp on World Diabetes Day
On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, a Diabetes and Dental Check-Up Camp was organized by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre on 14th November 2025.
The camp focused on creating awareness about diabetes, its risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of oral health in diabetic patients. Participants received free blood sugar screening, dental evaluation, counselling, and lifestyle guidance from experienced healthcare professionals.

Medical Camp and Health Education at Sairam Girls Hostel On 13-09-2025
On the eve of Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre organized a Health Check-up Medical Camp at the Sairam Girls Hostel on 13/09/2025.
The initiative, conducted under the “Swasth Nari – Sasakth Bharat” campaign, was part of a series of activities planned to spread awareness about Ayurveda and its holistic approach to health. Our medical team conducted health check-ups for the hostel students and provided personalized consultations.
Alongside the camp, our doctors delivered Health Education sessions, emphasizing the importance of Ayurveda in preventive healthcare. Key topics included Dinacharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), balanced diet, lifestyle modifications, and stress management techniques. Students were encouraged to adopt simple Ayurvedic practices in their daily lives for long-term health and wellbeing.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the hostel students, making it a memorable and impactful program in connection with the Ayurveda Day 2025 celebrations.
Caring Hearts, Healthy Futures
On the occasion of World Heart Day, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, in association with the Rotary Club of Madras Mid-Town and Sri Ramachandra Medical College, organized a Free Cardiac Screening Camp on 10th September 2025 at the Leo Muthu Auditorium.
With 102+ patients benefitting from free services including ECHO, ECG, BP check-up, blood test, and cardiologist consultation, the initiative created awareness on cardiac health while emphasizing the importance of timely diagnosis and prevention.
This camp reflected our commitment to holistic wellness and serving the community with compassion.
World Breastfeeding Week Celebration – 05-08-2025

As part of World Breastfeeding Week 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized an awareness initiative at PHC Somangalam on 5th August 2025.
The program focused on promoting the importance of breastfeeding and supporting lactating mothers with Ayurvedic care. Awareness pamphlets highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding and infant nutrition were distributed. Additionally, Ayurvedic galactagogue granules sponsored by Zandu Pharmaceuticals were provided to 60 lactating mothers to support healthy lactation.
This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to maternal and child health, and the integration of Ayurveda in public health outreach.
Mega Free Health Camp Conducted by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital in Association with NSS Unit of Sri Sairam Institute of Technology on 27-04-2025
Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, successfully organized a Mega Free Health Camp on 27th April 2025 across nearby villages.
This initiative aimed at providing quality Ayurvedic healthcare services to rural communities, fostering wellness, and raising awareness about preventive health practices. A dedicated team of experienced Ayurvedic doctors, interns, and volunteers offered:
