World Tuberculosis Day – Nutritional Kit Distribution Program & Awareness Rally

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre (SSAMC), in association with the Public Health & Preventive Medicine Department, Kanchipuram District Health, and Rotary Club of Madras Mid-Town, organized a Nutritional Kit Distribution Program on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day on 24.03.2026 at Somangalam Primary Health Centre.

As part of the program, nutritional kits were distributed to tuberculosis patients to support their recovery and improve nutritional status. A public awareness rally was also conducted, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, treatment adherence, prevention, and nutrition in tuberculosis care.

The rally created awareness among the public and highlighted the need to eliminate stigma associated with tuberculosis while promoting healthy community practices.

The initiative aimed to strengthen public health awareness and preventive measures in the fight against tuberculosis.

World Kidney Day – Special Medical Camp & Awareness Rally

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre (SSAMC), in association with Thirumudivakkam Village authorities, organized a Special Medical Camp and Awareness Rally on the occasion of World Kidney Day on 12.03.2026 at Thirumudivakkam.

The camp provided free medical consultation and screening for the public, focusing on early detection and prevention of kidney-related disorders. An awareness rally was also conducted to educate the community about the importance of kidney health, proper hydration, and healthy lifestyle practices.

The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and create awareness among the rural population regarding kidney diseases and their management through Ayurveda and lifestyle modifications.

Special Medical Camp Conducted at Palanthandalam Village

ri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre (SSAMC), in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) – Sri Sairam Engineering College, successfully conducted a Special Medical Camp at Palanthandalam Village on 27th February 2026.

The camp was organized with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare and early disease detection among the rural population. Various free medical screening services were provided to the public, including Mammogram screening, Eye Check-up, Dental Check-up, and General Medical Consultation.

A large number of villagers participated in the camp and benefited from the services rendered by the medical team. The camp also helped create awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and timely medical intervention.

Students Health Screening Camp and Health Awareness Program Conducted at Sairam Leo Muthu Public School, Medavakkam – 2nd and 3rd March 2026

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre (SSAMC) organized a Health Screening Camp and Health Awareness Program for the students and staff of Sairam Leo Muthu Public School, Medavakkam on 2nd and 3rd March 2026.

The camp covered students from 1st to 8th Standard, where a total of 612 students and 59 staff members underwent general health screening.

In addition to the health screening, a Health Awareness Program was conducted focusing on General Hygiene and Good Touch – Bad Touch awareness to educate the students about personal safety and healthy habits. A total of 8 awareness sessions were conducted separately for boys and girls to ensure better understanding and comfort during the interaction.

The program aimed to promote preventive healthcare, hygiene awareness, and personal safety education among school children. The initiative was well received by the school management, staff, and students, and it reflects the continuous commitment of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre towards community outreach, school health initiatives, and holistic healthcare awareness.

Special Medical Camp at Kalivanthapattu Village – 14/02/2026

A Special Medical Camp was successfully conducted at Kalivanthapattu Village on 14th February 2026 by Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College (SSAMC) in collaboration with the Rotary Club and ACS Medical College and Hospital.
The camp was organized through the Mobile Mammography Bus initiative with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services to the rural population. The program primarily focused on early screening, preventive healthcare, and creating awareness regarding women’s health and general well-being.
A dedicated team of doctors, interns, and faculty members from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College actively participated in the camp, offering medical consultations, health screenings, and patient education. Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College (SSAMC), in association with Chettinad Hospital, successfully conducted a Free Eye Check-Up Camp at Malaipattu Village on 20th February 2026.

The camp aimed to promote awareness about eye health and provide accessible screening services to the rural community. A team of experienced ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals conducted comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing and preliminary screening for common ocular conditions.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, in association with Queen Mary’s College, Chennai, organized a Medical Camp on 18th February 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The camp focused on providing General Health Check-up and Mammogram Screening services for the benefit of the participants. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare awareness and facilitate early detection of potential health issues among women.
