Boosting Innovation Funding Insights into YUKTI Challenge & Productisation Fellowship on 20-05-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized an online session titled “Building YUKTI Innovation Repositories: Productizing Campus Ideas & Boosting Innovation Funding” on 20th May as part of the MIC Driven Activity (Q3–IIC 7.0). The session aimed to guide IIC institutions in establishing YUKTI Innovation Repositories to streamline campus innovation support systems and enhance funding opportunities for innovative ideas and startups. It also provided comprehensive insights into the guidelines and participation criteria for two key initiatives—YUKTI Innovation Challenge 2025 and the AICTE Productisation Fellowship

IP UTSAV 2025 Inaugural Session on Intellectual Property and Innovation on 21-04-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized an MIC activity by hosting the online Inaugural Session of IP UTSAV on 21st April 2025 at 11:30 AM. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE, and Dr. Abhay Jere, Hon’ble Vice Chairman, AICTE. The session featured insightful keynote addresses by Prof. (Dr.) Unnat Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks; Registrar of Copyright and Geographical Indications, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and Dr. Sacha Wunsch-Vincent, Head of Section, Economics and Statistics Division, and Co-editor of the Global Innovation Index (GII) at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), highlighting the importance of intellectual property and innovation in the academic ecosystem.

MIC Drive 2025 Awareness Session on AICTE Productisation Fellowship & YUKTI Innovation Challenge on 14-05-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted the MIC Drive Activity for the AICTE Productisation Fellowship and YUKTI Innovation Challenge 2025 on 14th May 2025 at 12:00 PM in online mode, coordinated at the SSR Hall. The session aimed to create awareness among students and faculty about national-level innovation opportunities initiated by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE. Participants were guided on the objectives, application procedures, and benefits of the programs, encouraging them to actively contribute innovative ideas and projects. The event reinforced the institution’s commitment to fostering a strong innovation and entrepreneurship culture.

Strategic Startup Planning Legal and Ethical Insights for Innovators on 16-05-2025

SRI SAI RAM AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH CENTRE, the Institution Innovation Council, organized its 3rd Quarter IIC Event for the academic year 2024–25 on the topic “How to Plan for Startup and Legal & Ethical Steps”. The session is scheduled to be held at VRR Hall on 16.05.2025 (Thursday) from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The resource person for this session is Mr. Anbarasu Mahadevan, Advocate and Director, Lex Legends Law Associates LLP, and President, World Youth Federation, who provided valuable insights into startup planning and the essential legal and ethical aspects involved.

Career Guidance Session by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Director – Sandhya Medicity, Delhi on 13-05-2025

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital was privileged to host Dr. Vikas Gupta, esteemed Director of Sandhya Medicity, Delhi, for an inspiring and informative Career Guidance Session tailored for our final-year students and internees.

With his extensive experience in the healthcare sector and a visionary approach to integrative medicine, Dr. Gupta offered valuable insights into the diverse career avenues available in Ayurveda and allied health sciences. He emphasized the importance of building strong clinical foundations, embracing continuous learning, and developing entrepreneurial thinking to thrive in today’s dynamic healthcare ecosystem.

Insights into government and private sector career paths

Tips for effective patient communication and clinical practice

Discussion on emerging fields like wellness tourism, Ayurvedic startups, and hospital administration

IIC Q3 2024–25: Workshop on Startup Fundraising and Financial Management

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, conducted its 3rd Quarter IIC event for the academic year 2024–25 on 14th May 2025, titled “Workshop on Raising Capital and Managing Finance for Startups”, at SSR Hall from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The session was led by Dr. G.S. Mahalakshmi, Associate Professor, DCSE, College of Engineering Guindy, and Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Anna University, Chennai. The workshop provided valuable insights into financial planning, funding strategies, and capital management for startups, aiming to strengthen financial literacy and entrepreneurial capability among students and budding innovators.

Innovating Tradition Intellectual Property in Ayurveda and Beyond on 25-04-2025

On 25th April 2025, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institution’s Innovation Council & Intellectual Property Cell, organized a special guest lecture to mark World Intellectual Property Day, featuring Dr. J.K. Pradhan, Joint Controller of Patents & Designs, Indian Patent Office – Chennai, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Dr. Pradhan delivered an insightful session on the significance of intellectual property rights, patent procedures, and the integration of innovation within traditional medicine systems like Ayurveda. The event aimed to promote awareness about protecting creative and scientific contributions, encouraging students and faculty to explore the potential of patenting their innovations in the AYUSH sector.

TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on 24-04-2025

As part of the national mission to eliminate tuberculosis, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital conducted a Health Awareness Camp on Latent Tuberculosis (LTB) at our Community Outreach Camp.

Say No to Tobacco Rally Conducted by Dept. of Agada Tantra & NSS Volunteers of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital  on 29-04-2025

The Department of Agada Tantra, in collaboration with the NSS volunteers of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (SSAMC), conducted an impactful “Say No to Tobacco” rally at Nallur village on 29th April 2025.

The event was inaugurated by the Panchayat President, and saw active participation from students, faculty, and village residents. The rally aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use and advocate for a healthier, smoke-free community.

As part of the campaign:

 Interactive awareness talks
 Inaugurated by the Panchayat President

  • Informational leaflets were distributed to residents
