The NSS volunteers from Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, in collaboration with UBA volunteers from Sri Sairam Engineering College, successfully conducted a Leprosy Screening Survey in the village of Naduveerapattu on 19th and 20th February 2025.
This initiative aimed to identify potential cases of leprosy at an early stage and spread awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Volunteers engaged with the local community, conducted screenings, and educated residents on leprosy prevention and healthcare measures.
The event was part of the institutions’ commitment to social responsibility and rural health development under the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).
On World Kidney Day (13th March 2025), Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital organized a Special Medical Camp to promote kidney health and early detection of kidney-related issues.

The Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Development (RIED) Cell at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted its quarterly meeting with the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) on 27th March 2025 from 12 PM to 1 PM at the Dravyaguna Lab. We are delighted to share that our faculty members and students enthusiastically attended the insightful MIC-driven session featuring Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE and Chief Innovation Officer at the MoE’s Innovation Cell.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted SAIMED HACKATHON 2.0 , on 14th March 2025 at the Sairam Incubation Centre, where 10 teams participated in developing cutting-edge healthcare solutions. The top three projects were selected for expert mentorship and further development. The jury panel featured Dr. V. Anitha, Assistant Professor, Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies, and Dr. Divya K. M, Associate Professor, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College, with Dr. V. Senthilkumar, Manager Scientific/BioProcess, TICEL Bio Park, Chennai, as the chief guest. The event successfully fostered innovation, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications in biomedical and healthcare technologies.
