Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, Chennai, organised a special guest lecture to commemorate World Breastfeeding Week on Friday, 7 August 2026, at 11:00 AM at VRR Hall.

The session featured Dr. A. Safiyathus Saliha, BAMS, IBCLC, ACLP, MYICAN, IYCF Counsellor and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), as the Guest Speaker. She is an Ayurvedic Physician, Childbirth Educator and Maternal & Child Health Professional, and an alumnus of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre.

The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of breastfeeding and promoting evidence-based practices for maternal and child health.
