Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized an internal hackathon for the Navapravarthan Idea Hackathon by AIIA on 30th December 2024. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 15 teams, showcasing innovative solutions and creative thinking. The top three ideas were selected, highlighting the exceptional talent and ingenuity of the participants. This initiative reaffirms the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation and excellence.

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre’s Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting on 30th December 2024. The meeting reviewed the events and activities of the 1st quarter, planned innovative programs for the 2nd quarter, and finalized changes in council membership effective from January 2025. This strategic session reaffirmed the council’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial growth.

A CME (Continuing Medical Education) session on the Significance of Research in Healthcare – Transforming Knowledge into Innovative Outcomes was held on 27th December 2024 at the SSR Hall in Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, in association with Saveetha Medical College.

The event featured an insightful talk by Dr. Rekha Thiruvengadam, Professor at the Centre for Global Healthcare Research, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Saveetha University, Chennai. Dr. Thiruvengadam shared her expertise on the pivotal role of research in healthcare, focusing on how research-driven innovations can address global health challenges and enhance the quality of care. Her talk emphasized the importance of integrating research into medical practice and highlighted cutting-edge advancements that can lead to improved healthcare outcomes worldwide. The session was an enriching experience for all attendees, offering valuable perspectives on transforming knowledge into practical, innovative solutions in healthcare.

A CME (Continuing Medical Education) session on Skin Diseases was held on 27th December 2024 at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, in association with Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala. During the event, Dr. Jithesh M.K. delivered an expert talk, sharing his extensive knowledge and insights on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various skin conditions through Ayurvedic principles and therapies. The session provided valuable learning for attendees, enhancing their understanding of Ayurvedic approaches to skin health.

On 27th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, Institutional Innovation Council in collaboration with the Sairam Incubation Centre, conducted an insightful workshop titled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity” from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Led by Mr. K. Murugan, M.B.A., Associate Professor at Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies, Chennai, the session provided participants with valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey, from idea generation to strategic business planning. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and real-world examples, the workshop emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity in building successful ventures. This initiative aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to transform their ideas into impactful realities.

The Freshers’ Day Celebration at Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital on 26th December 2024 was a grand and vibrant occasion to welcome the new batch, Nava Yuga, into the college community. The event was designed to provide a warm and engaging introduction to the college culture for the freshers, offering them a memorable start to their academic journey.

One of the highlights of the celebration was a special performance by Mr. Michael Augustin, a renowned mimicry artist. His performance, filled with humor and lively imitations, entertained the students and faculty, creating a fun-filled and joyous atmosphere. The event also included various cultural activities, performances, and interactive sessions, which allowed the freshers to bond with their peers and faculty members, making it an unforgettable experience for all.

On 19th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre conducted a dynamic session on “Problem Solving and Ideation Workshop” from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Rene Robin, Ph.D., Professor and Dean of Innovation at Sri Sairam Incubation Centre. Dr. Robin guided participants through structured approaches to identifying real-world problems and generating innovative solutions. The session emphasized creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative brainstorming techniques to refine ideas into actionable plans. With his expertise, Dr. Robin inspired attendees to adopt an innovation-driven mindset, making the workshop a valuable experience for budding entrepreneurs and innovators.

  On 19th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre organized a motivational session titled “My Story,” featuring Mr. Muthuvel Arumugam, Senior R&D Executive at Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation. Held from 9 to 10 AM, the session offered an inspiring glimpse into Mr. Muthuvel’s journey as a successful innovator. He shared his experiences in research and development, detailing the challenges he faced and the strategies that led to his achievements. His story highlighted the importance of perseverance, creativity, and collaboration in driving innovation. The session left attendees inspired and equipped with practical insights to pursue their own innovative endeavors.  

On 17th December 2024, Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre hosted an inspiring session titled “From Idea to Impact,” led by Mr. Sathish Kumar, Founder and Managing Director of LeoMed Health Care Pvt Ltd. The motivational talk focused on the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the transformation of ideas into impactful ventures. Mr. Sathish shared his experiences, challenges, and milestones in establishing LeoMed Health Care, offering valuable insights into innovation, resilience, and strategic planning. His practical advice and inspiring anecdotes motivated participants to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and a clear vision for success.
